Louisiana Spice
This is a 2 CD set which has a mixture of modern New Orleans Jazz, Cajun, and Zydeco with some really hot tunes. Including Tipitina, by Professor Longhair, and File Gumbo by Zachary Richard.
Alligator Stomp
This tape is a really good mix of Cajun and Zydeco music. Great for parties. It's got My Toot-Toot by Rockin' Sydney, and The Back Door by Queen Ida. A real fun tape!
Best of Louisiana Music
A wonderful CD with a great mix of modern New Orleans Jazz, Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, and Gospel tunes. This tape has it all! It even has some Mardi Gras music played by New Orleans brass bands. Check out Hey Pocky Away by The Meters, and Have A Little Talk With Jesus by The Zion Harmonizers. A great introduction to the various musical styles available in the State.
Swamp Gold
If you have never heard Louisiana "Swamp Pop" music then you have missed out on a real treat! The tunes on this tape are still played on juke boxes all over the State! It has some really fine slow dance numbers. My favorites are Mathilda by Cookie & The Cupcakes, and Opelousas Soustan, by Rufus Jagneaux.
Cajun Dance Favorites
This tape is pure Cajun cher! All traditional Cajun dance style tunes. It's got The Back Door by D. L. Menard (The Hank Williams of Cajun Music), and great dance songs like The Swallow Two-Step by R. Matte. Real down home Louisiana Country fun!
Zydeco Dance Party
A tape of pure Louisiana Zydeco music! Very lively and upbeat. Great artists and tunes such as Chere Duloone by Queen Ida, and They All Ask For You, by Rockin' Dopsie. Lots of fun for your next party!
The New Orleans Ragtime Orchestra - Creole Belles
A wonderful tape of old New Orleans Ragtime music from the band that did much of the background music for the movie “Pretty Baby”. It has a wonderful rendition of Scott Joplin’s Maple Leaf Rag, and also Pickles and Peppers by Adeline Shepherd.
Pete Fountain’s New Orleans
Nobody can play clarinet like the great Pete Fountain and these are some really hot old Nawlin’s favorites including Basin Street Blues, and Way Down Yonder in New Orleans.
Louis Armstrong and King Oliver
This is a really great tape that has recordings of Louis Armstrong when he played with King Oliver’s Creole Jazz band way back in 1922! A really jammin’ tape with tunes like Canal Street Blues, and Dipper Mouth Blues. You’ll love this one for sure!
Jelly Roll Morton Birth of the Hot
Here is a tape from the person who claimed to be the originator of Jazz the great Jelly Roll Morton. This has some really hoppin’ tunes such as Doctor Jazz, and the Wolverine Blues.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans Vol. I
A great tape of traditional Mardi Gras music with tunes like Big Chief, and Go to the Mardi Gras.
Mardi Gras in New Orleans Vol. II
More great music just like in Vol. I with hits like Iko Iko, and They All Ask for You.
Best of New Orleans Gospel - The Zion Harmonizers
For all of you Gospel fans out there this is a really wonderful tape. The Zion Harmonizers have such a soothing sweet sound with wonderful hymns like Have a Little Talk with Jesus, and The Old Rugged Cross.
Authentic New Orleans Jazz Funeral
If you have never seen a Jazz funeral then you have missed one of the great cultural peculiarities of New Orleans. This tape has some wonderful old tunes on it such as Down By the Riverside, and When the Saints go Marching In.
New Orleans Piano Professor
Tuts Washington

The Jazz piano music of the great Tuts Washington. Tuts was extremely popular and influential in New Orleans music during the 1930’s and 40’s. A great performer, he was a bit shy about recording and therefore we have very little of his music on tape. This CD was made in the early 1980’s for Rounder Records and shows his variety of Jazz, Blues, and popular tunes. A real wonderful tape from an old New Orleans Piano Professor. Check out Arkansas Blues and Frankie and Johnny as well as other great songs.
James Booker
New Orleans Piano Wizard Live!

A live CD of that great Blues pianist James Booker. Has his famous version of On the Sunny Side of the Street. The CD is worth the cost just for that song alone. A really great album.
